Rosebank Business Association and Intelligent Environments successfully raised over $5,000 for Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand.
The Rosebank Business Association and Intelligent Environments are delighted to announce the successful fundraising efforts from the Pink Ribbon Breakfast held on Tuesday, 21 May 2024.
With the support and generosity of our community, we have raised a total of $5,034.72 for the Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand, raised awareness, and had a whole heap of fun doing so!
At Intelligent Environments, our commitment is to be a business for better. This was demonstrated recently when we joined with the Rosebank Business Association to host a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to raise awareness and funds for vital breast cancer research, education and support.
The breakfast event, attended by 60 members of the Rosebank Business Association and the Auckland Intelligent Environments team and clients, was a vibrant affair with attendees donning pink attire to show their solidarity for the cause. A highlight of the morning was the heartfelt and inspiring story shared by Talia Cooper, a breast cancer survivor, whose raw and real account deeply moved everyone present.
For those unable to attend the breakfast, an online fundraiser was organised, encouraging companies to submit team photos with each member wearing something pink. For each person dressed in pink, both the Rosebank Business Association and Intelligent Environments pledged to donate $1 each. This initiative raised a commendable $346.
Additionally, a general fundraiser was set up for broader contributions, which garnered $260 in donations. The event also featured a $1 reserve TradeMe auction, showcasing items generously donated by various businesses:
- Black Caps Support Packs from Canterbury New Zealand
- Johnny Cash and June Carter Show tickets from Auckland Live
- A bouquet of flowers from Best Blooms
- An Auckland Zoo Family Pass and large soft toy from KiwiKrane and Auckland Zoo
- Bus Backs Advertising from Omnigraphics
- Dyson V15 Detect Submarine from Scott Electrical
- A gift hamper from the Rosebank Business Association
- $50 gift cards donated by Rosebank Coffee & Kitchen, Columbus Coffee Rosebank, and Piccolina
The auction alone raised an impressive $4,128.72, with Zeil, a company founded by Anna Mowbray, contributing $2,420 for one of the auction items. TradeMe further supported our cause by waiving the success fee of over $300.
The combined efforts from the breakfast, online fundraiser, general donations, and auction culminated in a total of $5,034.72 raised. These funds will be instrumental in supporting vital work in breast cancer education, patient support, research, and advocacy.
In a male-dominated industry Intelligent Environments proudly defy the norm. With 50% female representation across all aspects of our business, we champion diversity, equality, and empowerment. Supporting Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand through this Pink Ribbon Breakfast and fundraiser aligns perfectly with our values where we aim to be: Givers of Time, Doers of Good, Philosophers of Fun.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated, donated, and supported this cause. Together, we have made a significant impact in the fight against breast cancer.
