Wakefield Hospital Redevelopment
The Wakefield Hospital Redevelopment is a cutting-edge healthcare facility designed to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Intelligent Environments was engaged to provide a flexible, energy-efficient lighting control solution tailored to the hospital’s needs.
Working alongside Aurecon (electrical consultants) and Stones Electrical, we implemented a zencontrol DALI-2 system across all four floors. The challenge was to balance ease of use, energy efficiency, and adaptability for different hospital spaces. Our solution integrates manual and automated controls, including presence detection, rotary dimming, and predefined lighting profiles that adjust based on time of day and occupancy.
A key advantage is remote accessibility, allowing hospital staff to request adjustments without on-site visits. This scalable, cost-effective system delivers optimal lighting conditions for staff, patients, and visitors—enhancing both comfort and sustainability.
